No Return Chapter 5 is ΒΌ done ^_^;;
Snow
Yami no Yuugi watched Yuugi as the short teen stared sadly at the falling snow.
Violet orbs seem to stare at the snow flakes as they floated to the ground, but
Yami knew his light wasn't really seeing the snow flakes.
What Yuugi did see, was even a mystery to the former pharaoh. Yami no Yuugi had
asked many times but the little one never answered him with the truth. He
stared at his zoned out aibou as he went to the kitchen.
Yuugi watched his yami leave in the reflection of the mirror. He sighed knowing
his yami was disappointed with is stubborn silence. Every year yami would ask
the same questions when he saw Yuugi stare at the snow.
Yuugi hated snow, he loathed it. He hated winter, he hated it.
Yami no Yuugi frowned when he suddenly felt hate pulse through the link between
him and Yuugi, but the hate was not aimed at him. Curious the spirit tentavively
let his concern flow to his other. The pulsing hate almost instantly faded to a
soft throb, and he felt an apologizing touch over the link. Grabbing two mugs
of steaming hot chocolate he walked back to the living room, he placed the mugs
on the table and moved to his aibou's side.
Yuugi ignored Yami no Yuugi's presence by his side as he kept staring at the
snow, he closed his eyes as a memory surfaced.
He ignored the concern and curiosity Yami no Yuugi send through the link
as he closed his eyes. The present world stop existing as the past came back to
haunt him.
"Aibou?" Yami no Yuugi's deep voice seemed to snap him out of the past,
violet orbs blinked and turned away from the snow. His darkness's warm red eyes
met his red rimmed violet orbs.
"Ever hated something, Mou hitori no Boku? Ever hated something so much
that whenever you see it rage consumes you're heart and soul and leaves you numb
after you realized that it won't go away?"
The spirit nodded as he sat behind Yuugi, who shifted on to his lap and
snuggled in to the pharaoh's warm embrace. "I hate the snow, Mou hitori no
Boku. I hate it with all my heart. And everytime it snows this tidal wave of rage
and hate consumes my heart and soul" Yami no Yuugi watched the young
teen's eyes darken as they glanced at the snow.
"Doushite?"
The little one tensed in his yami's arms for a second before he relaxed again.
"You asked me once where my parents were, did you not Mou hitori no
Boku?" Mou hitori no Yuugi nodded.
"Hai, I did" He said softly.
"I told you they had died" Again Yami no Yuugi nodded and answered
with a soft 'hai' . Yuugi shifted in his arms. "They died because of the
snow" He felt Mou hitori no Boku's confusing flow in to his mind at his
last sentence.
"The snow took them away. If it hadn't snowed...They'd still be here, with
me" Yami no Yuugi stroked his aibou's hair as the young boy buried his
face in the spirit's chest, sad crimson eyes looked down on the weeping boy.
After a while he fell through the link that Yuugi had fallen asleep, he bent
his head to kiss the teen's head and smiled softly at the sleeping form.
He stared outside the window and glared at the snow.
He suddenly disliked the frozen powder. A lot.
