Dear Diary, August 21,2003
First day of school today!!! The only bad thing is, Miranda and Gordo are still mad at me. So, I started out the new school year with no best friends.
Miranda still thinks I was going out with tanner, her boyfriend. I so wasn't! Why would I go out with her boyfriend? And tanner would never cheat on her!
Then Gordo took her side and he says he saw at the mall with him. And that's true, but I was only helping him get a birthday gift for Miranda! Then what makes me so mad is, that she tells me we are no longer friends, but doesn't break up with Tanner!! Grrr!
Anyway, today was great! Ethan is cuter than ever and Kate is actually being nice! How weird!

Today was so weird! Kate invited me to eat lunch with her and her group! So weird I know. What's up with that? And you know what else? She kept talking to me all day today. I can't say I didn't like it though. If a popular girl talks to you and wants you to eat lunch with them, then it means you are working your way up! I am so happy, but still it is odd.
As much as I hate to think this, but what if I had never been friends with Gordo and Miranda, would that have made me popular earlier? It seems like the only reason Kate is finally noticing me in a good way is because I am no longer hanging out with Gordo and Miranda.
Oh got to go! Devon's here! Oh yeah, I didn't tell you about Devon, I met her a couple days ago in dance. And come to find out, she is good friends with Kate! Well anyway, her name is Devon Myers. She is so cool. She is a little taller than me and has long brown hair. She is coming over today to watch a movie.
This is so cool! I am popular. Too bad I no longer have my best friend to share it with. Oh well, her loss not mine.
