It was Rachel Elizabeth Potter's birthday. She just turned 8.
"Happy Birthday Rachel!" Her mother said as Rachel came downstairs from her room.
"Hi mom! So where's my presents?"
Joey gave her daughter a big grin.
"You'll find out at one."
"Mommy!" Rae begged.
"No." Joey said as she gave Rachel her breakfast.
"But-"
"No buts."
Rachel knew her mother was not going to tell her what it was so she gave up and started in on her breakfast.

Rachel only wanted one wish for her birthday present- to know who her father was.
Even though she was only 8, she wanted to know more about her life and acted more like a 12 or 13 year old.
When Joey heard what Rachel's wish was, she almost fainted.
In January 2001, Joey told Pacey that she was indeed pregnant. Pacey thought the child wasn't his and left Capeside without telling why or where he was going.
Joey was devastated.
But on September 13th 2001, Pacey's and Joey's baby was born. After Rachel was born, Joey tried to find him and failed miserably.
