When Darkness Comes
Prologue
"Pallet Town is ahead of us"
Two cloaked figures stood side by side as the taller one of the two spoke. Deep
violet eyes gleamed as they reflected the full moon's silver beams, the owner
side glanced at his companion who stared ahead at the town in the distance with
his deep golden eyes. He turned his gaze to the distant town with a sad smile
on his face, his friend was home but so many years had gone by and the world
had changed dramatically.
Humanity had changed dramatically.
He tightened his cloak around him to fend of the night's cool temperature, he
turned once again to his companion who's eyes where glazed over. The taller of
the two cleared his throat. "Let's
find shelter, shall we?" He spoke softly but it was enough to bring his golden
eyed companion back to the present. His friend blinked at him before nodding in
agreement.
Both cloaked figures started to move towards the small town.
"Ryouya" Violet eyes met gold as Ryouya turned to his friend, he
tilted his head to indicate he was listening. Amber eyes flickered to the town
ahead to his friend's pale moonlit face. "Ryouya...What if?"
Ryouya knew what his friend meant with out finishing the sentence. What if no
one remembered? What if they all died? What if they hated him? Ryouya laid a
hand on his companion's cloaked shoulder.
"What will come, will come and we shall face it when it does" A small
smile was flashed at him before the other turned away again. "You worry too
much, Ashura"
Ashura glanced over his
shoulder at the violet eyed teen. "Feeling threatened by that, Ryouya?
After all it is you're job to worry enough for the both of us" Ryouya
chuckled at the statement.
"Maybe" He answered, an amused twinkle was in his shadowed
eyes as he spoke. Ashura laughed feeling some of the tension leave as the
approached his home town.
It felt good to be home.
