THE TRUTH REVEALED
(From the adventures of Biggs Darklighter)
Biggs Darklighter returns to his home planet of Tatooine to say farewell to his friend, Luke Skywalker before joining the Rebellion. When Luke fails to meet him, Biggs takes a landspeeder to Luke's moisture farm instead. En route, Biggs sees an escape pod crash-land and investigates, discovering C3P0 and R2D2 - droids in service of the Rebel Alliance. Safely escorting the droids to Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi, he learns of the plight of Princess Leia Organa and the plans of the DEATH STAR stored within R2D2.
Biggs, Ben and the droids head immediately for the Mos Eisley Space Port, where Biggs quickly wins the Millennium Falcon from Han Solo in a game of sabaac. Piloting the Falcon, Biggs flies the group safely through a blockade of Imperial Star Destroyers. Then whilst in hyperspace, he helps R2D2 analyse the plans and discovers a weakness in the Death Star's design. Approaching Alderaan, they witness the Death Star entering the system and head deliberately towards it, allowing the ship to be captured. Once inside, they discover that Princess Leia is held captive and draw plans to rescue her.
Splitting up, Biggs finds and deactivates the tractor beam, while Ben uses his Jedi powers to quietly free the Princess from her prison cell. They all meet again at the Falcon, where Darth Vader - Lord of the Sith, and his minions attempt to ambush them. But with some accurate blaster shots, Biggs downs many stormtroopers whilst closing the blast doors in Vader's faceplate.
Fleeing in the Falcon, they blast off from the huge hangar, but instead of fleeing to Alderaan or the Rebel base on Yavin 4, Biggs turns the ship about and attacks the Death Star head on!
Using his knowledge of the space station's weakness, Biggs manoeuvres down the major axial trench and fires a proton torpedo into the thermal exhaust port, causing a massive explosion in the main reactor. The Death Star explodes in a ball of fiery plasma, ending the mechanical menace's threat before it can cause any harm to the free peoples of the universe.
On Alderaan, Biggs, Ben, C3PO and R2D2 receive their medals of bravery from Viceroy Bail Organa and a standing ovation from the populace of that peaceful world.
Three months later, Biggs Darklighter and Princess Leia marry and live happily ever after...
