A/N: I calculated these numbers on a calculator, because it was right in front of me during math when I wrote all the Sam chapters and I couldn't resist. Shit. I just realized I left the calc in my locker again. *bangs head on comp*
Sam sat down. His ass hung out of the seat a little, and his pots all banged together. On the chalkboard, the word CIRCUMFRENCE (spelled exactly like that-yes I know it's wrong) was there in big letters. Sam raised his hand.
"Good sir," he said to the teacher "The circumference of this pot," he held up a pot, "Is 26.25123 inches, because the diameter is 8.360264331 inches. When you multiply that by 3.14, which is what we use for pi in the Shire, you get the circumference," Sam stated without any instruction.
The math teacher was very, very confused.
"B-bu-but Tolkien portrayed you as being a little stupid," the math teacher stammered, then fainted.
