Here I lay,
Crying on my bed,
Memories of the past
All racing through my head.
Falling into tiny pieces,
Laying on the floor
Looking at the shattered mirror
Over by the door.
Gazing at my scarred reflection
With my empty soul.
Right where there should be a heart,
Therein lies a hole.
All the times,
We sat and talked
When all this time,
Twas us fate mocked.
When I'm with you,
I wish time to stop
But instead into a
Void we drop.
Trust and purity are
So easily betrayed
Might things have been different
If you had stayed?
Shamed by society,
Never fitting in.
It didn't matter how hard you tried,
You could never win.
All those years,
The sleepless nights
And the scars
Left by your fights.
Now after searching,
And going the long range
Falling into love
Might be a pleasant change.
With that stated
May we please take flight
Into the calm,
Deceiving night.
