Disclaimer: I have been through this before. Not mine. Never have been,
never will be. Just borrowing.
Little angsty ML peice. Ah well.
Tallo sighed. None of these strange people seemed to realise that he just wanted to be left alone so he could die as he was meant to. Or, on second thought, maybe they knew he wanted to die. Maybe they didn't want him to. Somehow he doubted that. He thought that it was probable that they thought they wanted him to live because they were so kind. He knew that deep down they wanted him to die. The woman- Savil- told him that her friend would be arriving that day. She seemed to think that her friend would care. Tallo doubted that.
He deserved to die on so many fronts that it was hard to imagine. He killed John. He pulled down lightnting. How could he have been so stupid? How could he have thought to merely scare his lover when he used lightning? Lightning killed. He killed. John was a good friend and a good lover. He was gentle and kind to Tallo when he was inexperinced and scared. That was another part of the problem. They were lovers. How could he have deluded himself into thinking that that was alright? Two boys did not kiss! It wasent supposed to happen. None of this was supposed to happen. He was supposed to find a girl to marry. Molly the blacksmiths daughter would have been a fine match. He should know, since his parents told him that so often.
The last time he saw his parents, they were yelling at him. His dad beat Tallo with the other men while his mother cried with disapointment and anger. She joined the women in throwing stones after them. One of her stones hit him in the back of the neck.
The worst part was his books. The priest agreed, and they were burned. All the books that taught him so much were destroyed in fire. Not just the books on magic and languages. Books of tales and poems were now ashes with the rest. He was told that they were accountable for his going off the correct path, but that he was weak and foolish for letting them lead him.
The door opend and the boy looked up. Savil was there along with a wise looking man around her age. He turned away as the woman spoke, ignoring every word of it. The man put a hand on his shoulder. Savil was continuing to talk but the man seemed to know that Tallo didn't care. He spoke only one word. "Welcome."

Please R&R. Please? Should I continue this story? I don't think I will but should I write more 'Tales of Tallo'? I have some good plot bunnies...
