Rainmaker

By Fuji. S. Yuki:

Rain wasn't uncommon thing to the Seigaku Junior High. It came it went on it's own will, no one could determine when it would suddenly pour it's essence down onto the inhabitants of the city. Yet, even though it was a frequent occurrence, not many were bothered by it.

Rain always seemed to fall when he was unsettled. It came when there was enormous welling feeling, and it came when he release his concentration into the world. Perhaps it all was a coincidence, but Fuji never did believe in such things. Today after the match between Echizen and Fuji drew to a halt, Fuji stood in the locker room with Tezuka his eyes slightly opened.

"Ne Tezuka."

"Nnnn?'

"Do you think it rains when someone is sad?"

"Depends."

"Depends?"

"The person has to be a Rainmaker to make it rain, but it doesn't mean they have to feel sadness."

"Rainmaker?"

"Aa…the God of Rain, when he sees someone sad he makes it Rain, when he see something of destiny, or any other form he lets it rain."

"Sa…Sa." Silence echoed in the room as thunder and lightning crash through the sky light up Fuji's silhouetted body. "Do you think when someone is happy the rain ends?"

"Maybe, but it all depends on the Rainmaker."

"Ne Tezuka."

"Nnn?"

"I'll make it rain just for you…." Turning around he stared into the eyes of the older boy. His lips curved; with his eyes open the deep blue shimmer in the light. "And I'll make it rain for our kouhai."
