AN: This is very short and something I did in class! We had to include most of the tenses in a short story. I just might be looking forwards to writing a fic about what went on through Makoto and Nephrite. That'll be something cool to work on. ^_^ Anyways, I hope you enjoy! My friend is now laughing at me on the phone because I am putting up homework on the net. I don't see what's so funny. Then again . . . Tell me what you think about writing out this short story into a long and enjoying one. Oh yeah, this is AU, no senshi or shitennou -I know, it sucks. Nephrite's character is "Nick." Such a cliché name, I know. Would you rather I have his name "Nattie"? Haha! (some of you might not get that, sorry)

Unexpected

* ~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~*

It all started when I had just sat down at my favorite coffee bar, having my morning muffin. Then he walked in with one of his "charming" smiles. He was one of those guys who was rich, handsome, and had charmed all women. Then suddenly, I noticed he was walking straight towards me! He sat down next to me, acting as if I should worship him or something, and began to flirt. I had excused myself, but he was following me and insisted that we should go out sometime. As if, but I was too smart and knew he wouldn't accept a no as an answer. So I accepted to get it all done and over with. Plus, it's a free meal with maybe a free bouquet of flowers and chocolates.

Surprisingly, I had enjoyed our first date and was looking forward to the next one that I had accepted. He wasn't the jerk he seemed to be. Instead he was considerate, kind and actually takes things seriously. After a few more date's, we became a permanent couple. We've been dating for a year now and it's been nice. One day, my girl friend and I had been taking a stroll in the park. She went on about the craziest ideas ever! She said that one day, Nick, my current boyfriend, will have been thinking of marriage and decides that it'd be a good, no, great idea. He will have bought an engagement ring and while I'm at work, he will be heading straight towards my work and propose. It's out of this world, isn't it?

A week later, Nick has been running all around town, looking for me. He then finds me and is running straight towards me, not realizing all of the slight pushing towards the other by passers. Once he reached me, he was heaving and in desperate need of breath. I told him that once he has caught his breath that we will discuss of whatever needs to be said. And so later on that day, he actually proposed, just like my friend had said! I was swelled up in tears, which was unusual for I was not the teary type. I accepted of course and afterwards we arranged the marriage and told all of our friends and families. As unexpected as it was to fall in love with a man I thought I had despised the most, was one of the most surpassing moments of my life, and I liked it.
