: I own the story nothing else:

Never really a Goodbye

Night before the tragedy:

Staring into his eyes. She could barely face him.

He had lied to her telling her what she wanted to hear that faithful night.

Now all he did was hurt her and cause her pain, making her cry from his sheer deception.

"I love you onna" he whispered into her ear. He made her shiver in sheer delight.

She moaned slightly trying to resist him; he had said the same exact thing the night he had seduced her.

He smiled slightly at the little Deity, as he wandered into her head playing small mind tricks with her.

"Stop it, Hiei please" She groaned. "Stop it, no I... I... can't... not again" She tried to fight against his mind games but failed horribly.

He began to whisper the things that he would do to her in her ear, nibbling on it slightly.

Botan began to feel weak in her knees, she tried to convince herself that she couldn't or at least she wouldn't give into his demands, at least not again.

Even with her own desires and her love for this conniving, arrogant, selfish bastard that she couldn't help but love, she had to get away from him.

"Stop resisting temptation" He purred into her ear, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist, keeping her close.

"Hiei" Botan repeated as he did small butterfly kisses down her neck.

"Hai koibito" Hiei answered, making Botan gulp at the nickname of koibito (lover).

She blushed, her cheeks were hot, why was he doing this to her, she tried to find the answer but was even more puzzled by the fact that he was trying again.

Flashback to the night she fell in love with Hiei:

"egh...Hiei Stop" Botan pleaded as he bit the small nape of her neck with his fangs.

He bit her softly but the pain was still throbbing in her neck as a small trickle of blood went down her neckline.

He licked the blood off of her, tasting her blood with his tongue; she tasted sweet and sugary.

She knew exactly what he had done he had claimed her as his own, as his mate, and as his lover.

"Aishiteru Hiei I love you Hiei" she whispered before drifting off into a silent slumber.

"You will always be mine" he said before letting her rest in the bed they had just made love in.

End flashback:

Night before the tragedy:

Botan's point of view:

Botan gasped as she awake in the same bed, with the same demon, she had given in to that night and this night as well.

Yet she didn't regret it, she knew no matter what she would always give in to him.

She gently fell back to sleep dreaming of dreams that she longed to come true.

Hiei's point of view:

Hiei looked into her violet eyes his crimson ones pondering on the night's before they had spent.

Endless night's of love and long goodbyes though never a farewell.

He took her hand in his and leaned her into his arms; he kissed her softly and touched her face.

"You will always be mine deity" was the last thing he said before disappearing into the night.

::next day/morning::

Hiei and the tantai have already left to fight.

Everyone returns except Hiei.

Hiei is dead; he had died in battle.

:: Evening of that day::

:: knock on door:: "Botan , Botan are you all right" keiko yells from the other side of the bedroom door.

::Botan on the floor of genkai's spare room, crying::

"Why... did this happen..ohh Hiei" sobbing incessively .

::turns into night raining outside ::
