Rock On!
Summary: Ok, this is just some lame idea I had and I thought I'd share it with you guys! Wouldn't it be cool if the Trio became a rock band and sang Evanescence? With Hermione as lead singer, Harry on electric guitar, Ron on drums and Ginny appearing as backing vocals this should be a lot of fun! Anyway, on with the fic! (By the way - Ginny sings the bits in brackets! Hermione sings all the rest!)
********************************************************************* Hermione was soooo nervous! Tonight she would be singing in front of millions of people. Or so it seemed. Really it would be about 300 people. Professor Dumbledore had given the trio permission to hold a concert in the great hall. The trio were in their 7th year and had recently defeated Voldemort for good.
It was funny how all this rock band stuff had come about. Basically, Harry, Hermione and Ron had wanted everyone to know all the details about the night they had defeated Voldemort. Hermione had written a poem, and somehow it got turned into a song called "Whisper". Harry had electric guitar lessons, Ron had learned hoe to play drums and they discovered Hermione had a great voice and could play piano. Most of their songs were based on real life experiences.
"Ready guys?" a nervous Harry said.
"Ready as we'll ever be" replied Hermione
"Lets go get em'!" said Ron
Dumbledore had earlier conjured up a stage at the back of the great hall. The trio appeared on the stage and the boys started playing. Hermione began to sing:
catch me as i fall
say you're here and it's all over now
speaking to the atmosphere
no one's here and i fall into myself
this truth drives me into madness
i know i can stop the pain if i will it all away
don't turn away
(don't give in to the pain)
don't try to hide
(though they're screaming your name)
don't close your eyes
(God knows what lies behind them)
don't turn out the light
(never sleep never die)
i'm frightened by what i see
but somehow i know that there's much more to come
immobilized by my fear
and soon to be blinded by tears
i can stop the pain if i will it all away
don't turn away
(don't give in to the pain)
don't try to hide
(though they're screaming your name)
don't close your eyes
(God knows what lies behind them)
don't turn out the light
(never sleep never die)
fallen angels at my feet
whispered voices at my ear
death before my eyes
lying next to me i fear
she beckons me shall i give in
upon my end shall i begin
forsaking all i've fallen for i rise to meet the end
Everyone started clapping and Hermione got ready to sing the next song.
