Chapter - 1
Two Friends Meet
Caiden just woke up, and jumped out of bed so he could eat some breakfast. His Mom and Dad were sitting at the table eating some toast. "So what's for breakfast?" Caiden asked.
"Just go make yourself some toast or whatever you want honey", said Mom.
"Caiden, Caiden!!" yelled his little sister Mackenzie ,"Today you have to help me get a Halloween costume!!"
"Okay Mackenzie!! Stop yelling! I will, but I have to go to school", Caiden said to his sister.
"Bye Mom, bye Dad I'm going to school!"
"Have a good first day of school," said his Mom and Dad.
"Don't worry I will!" Caiden yelled to his parents. He was thinking to himself, yeah right I don't like school! He only went for the girls!
Caiden was 12 years old and in seventh grade, Mackenzie was 4, and Caiden's brother Perry, was a sophomore in high school.
As Caiden walked into school, he got his schedule and found where his locker was. He put all his supplies and everything he wanted in there. When he looked around his locker he saw a boy that had dropped some papers. So Caiden helped him pick them up.
The boy said," Thanx, by the way what's your name?"
"Caiden, what is yours?"
"Ashton"
Caiden asked," So what classes do you have?"
"Hey look we both have all the same classes together, that's a lot of luck!" said Ashton excitedly. Then they both heard the bell. "Oh well who cares if were late!" said Caiden. "But we better get going anyway," said Ashton. They walked into class ducking trying not to be seen. It didn't work. " Boys, why are you late to class? Oh well anyways get to your seats," said the Teacher. "My name is Mrs. Lichton and I am your Math teacher. Now that we all know that much, let's open our books to page 10," said Mrs. Lichton. "I want you define the math vocabulary words and then do page 12 questions 1-25. What you don't finish in class will be homework," she said. "Caiden, I hate doing homework! Don't you?" said Ashton. "Yes! It already making my brain hurt and were not even working yet!" stated Caiden. The bell rang. Everyone rushed out to go to their next class. Caiden and Ashton had to go to History now. They were late to that class too. "My name is Mr. Friend and I'm going to be teaching you history", said Mr. Friend. "Oh great!" Caiden whispered to Ashton sarcastically. "What!?" Ashton whispered loudly. "I know him!! He's my next door neighbor!" said Caiden. "That's not good being next door neighbors with a teacher!" Ashton whispered to Caiden. "Yeah, I know!" Caiden said madly. The bell rang. Since Caiden and Ashton talked the whole hour, they had no clue what Mr. Friend was talking about! And they had to read Chapter 1 section 1 and do the questions 1-10 about the section for homework. Caiden and Ashton knew they weren't going to like school very much. At least Caiden made a new best friend.
