Harmony looked up from this week's honey's shoulder, casting a glance over
the balcony, towards the dance floor. She instantly noticed Cordelia and
some unknown hunk and she forgot about Brad in a moment. Leaning on the
bar, her long hair spread falling over her face,
"Wow he's hot... hey Aura..."
The couple a few feet away broke up and the girl walked over to Harmony, casting her own critical eye over the floor, whilst the two guys backed off, glowering in the darkness.
"Yeah I know, fashion disaster galore... what's your point..." She lowered her voice, "You do know Josh is a *senior* right? I'm in the next league and I want him for at least another week or so..."
Harmony nodded impatiently, and pointed discreetly with a manicured nail more expensive than most of Sunnydale High student's jackets, "Yeah, I know but *look* what Cordelia has scored... Musclefest or what?!"
Aura again scanned the floor in the direction of the baby pink nail and her mouth formed into a small circle. She giggled and clapped her hands a little, "Ooooh wow... she sure can pick 'em. Stuff Josh... when Cordy's done with him..."
"He's mine after Cordy's done! I saw him first!" Harmony cut in, pouting at the prospect of her superficial friend getting there first. Aura put a hand out with a superior smirk on her lips,
"Harmony, darling, when you're finished with you can consider dating college boys... 'cause, I mean... he must be in college at least, no one at our school can be *that* hot. I mean, come on, sweetie, you've not even dated a *senior* yet, what's a college boy going to see in you... You're still a girl dating boys... what he wants is a woman..."
Harmony pouted again as Aura turned back to her *senior* and climbed down the metal side staircase to dance. She turned back to where she had left Brad and held out her arm, "You better do a good job of cheering me up... Ooooh!"
She pouted again, her eyes filling with vengeful tears, for Brad was already on the dance floor, enjoying some other girl's company. Harmony breathed deeply, it was all right, it was all right... she didn't need to worry. She was pretty, she was popular, she was well off, not exactly rich, but she could act it if she wanted... she could have any guy she wanted in this entire room, "Watch out boys, here's Harmony!"
She muttered under her breath, climbing, as seductively as she could down the stairs. However, upon reaching the hive of activity, she just let out a deep sigh and got herself a drink, standing by the dance floor. Alone. 'Waiting' She corrected herself, whilst delicately sipping her drink, 'Waiting for someone to ask me... I could so have Cordy's guy if I wanted...'
