Nyah, stupid ff.net, they just have to complicate things for me to post. I hope at least somebody reads this.

In the court of Thebes, Egypt there was a ceremony being held of special sorts. In the front walls underneath the shadows and on the throne sat the new pharaoh, Yami , son of Akunumkanon. But this isn't about him right now; lined up equally on either side of the throne were the king's highest priests. Among them, three of the advisors were holding a quiet conversation of their own while everyone else seemed to be waiting for something. "I really don't think that he should have another one after what happened last time." The first voice said. "Now Madado, it wasn't that bad, " consoled a female voice , "Well , besides the pyramid, traffic mess, and..okay, so maybe the last apprentice he had did goof up a little. But who can blame him?" Now Madado replied coolly," Hmm, who is the one trouble making priest who manages to cause chaos wherever he is, with anyone who's around? Who is the highest ranked and respected out of all of us, yet the most infamous among the younger ones?". "Is anyone talking about me?" The third voice decided to finally speak up, after quietly eavesdropping on his fellow partners. Ishizu, the only female priestess, only rolled her eyes in exasperation and sighed. Madado, on the other hand, grinned at his former classmate, "Well, I think the category fits, don't you?". Seto, the one of which the other two were talking, of pretended to think about it before nodding his head."Yep, fits me just fine. And I don't see the use of having apprentices when we are quite well capable of handling our own tasks. With the exception of ancient one eye." . "Seto, you know better than to call Priest Akunidan that!" Ishizu finally spoke up, her eyes were filled with scorn at the brown haired who just chuckled. After this settled down, Madado sighed and said ," When are those students coming?"

Meanwhile, outside the walls of what you might've guessed as the palace, there was another scene going on.

Labiiq Saqr, Labi for short, jumped over an overturned cart. Looking behind her, she saw a short pudgy man some distance behind yelling obscure words at her. All this trouble for lunch? Well it better be a good meal then. She thought this to herself as she continued her run into an alley and faced a dead end. Oops, guess I'll just have to pull the old trick, with that, she spotted a nearby ladder and started to climb up to the roofs. This was a secret street that thieves would use if there wasn't much of an escape on the floor level. Without looking down, Labi started to run and occasionally jump the short distances from rooftop to rooftop not paying attention to where she was going that much. This kept up while avoiding angry ladies who tried to throw pots or whatever they could find at the fleeing Labi. Suddenly, she skidded to a halt on the last roof. Her eyes widened as there was a wall blocking off her getaway. Ra darn it, must be at the palaces, of all places!!! , Labi sighed as she climbed down the side ladder to the ground. She then looked around the unusually dank alley; it was empty except for some pile of moth bitten rugs rolled up in corner. Seeing that if she walked out into the streets, the meat merchant was soon to catch up with her and most likely cut her hand off, Labi decided to hide behind the rugs. But as she ducked in, she tumbled backwards until she landed on something hard. Something hard, smooth, and clean.
