Harry opened his eyes, he was no longer in his room, on his bed, at his aunt and uncle's home. Instead he was back in the spinning room. That dreaded room with all the doors. He looked around and noticed that he wasn't alone. No, he was standing beside someone. At first he couldn't tell, for the torches seemed dimly lit. He pulled out his wand, "Lumos." And looked at the figure again. He could have fainted from the shock of it all. Standing beside him was none other than his godfather, Sirius.
"Sirius. . . ?" Harry asked, his voice was barely above a whisper.
Sirius looked down at Harry with a pained smile on his face, he held a finger to his lips, motioning him to be silent. Harry nodded.
The room began to spin suddenly, or maybe it was the walls. He still could not tell. When the movement stopped, Sirius walked forward and into the door directly in front of him. Harry followed him silently, just as he was told. It seemed like it took ages to walk through the various rooms. Sirius seemed to know where he was headed so Harry did not ask. Nevertheless, it did not take him long to realize where they were headed, The Archway.
Sirius pushed open the door, on the other side was the damned arch, veiled in its black curtained greatness. A shiver ran down Harry's spine as he looked at it. He didn't notice, at least, not at first, that there were no fewer than a hundred death eaters, seated around the room on the stone benches that circled the pavilion on which the Arch stood. Sirius grabbed Harry and was ready to tell him to run, but before he could take a breath, none other than Bellatrix Lestrange stood before him, wand raised and pointed at Harry's chest.
Harry's eyes widened and he looked wildly around, He noticed that Sirius was saying something to his cousin, but Harry couldn't seem to hear the words. It was as if someone had hit the mute button on the television. His eyes darted back and forth between the two, trying to decipher their conversation.
Bellatrix's eyes widened and she jabbed her wand at Harry, hard in the chest. Harry grimaced in pain and took a step back from her. She appeared to be yelling and then he saw Sirius move from beside him. There was a blinding flash of green light and Harry's breath caught in his throat. He felt someone grab him and he was pulled to the floor.
Once his vision returned, Harry realized that it was in fact his godfather that had cast the curse and at the same time, dragged Harry to the floor in order to dodge Bellatrix's identical curse, that had been cast half a second after his.
Harry felt as sharp pain in his neck. He looked up, but when he did, he was no longer in the Department of Mysteries, in the room with the Archway. No, he was back in his room, slumped over his desk and the pain in his neck was from Ron's little owl, Pig, nipping at Harry to try to rouse him from his deep slumber so as he could deliver the oversized letter.
