Catre153:hey everyone its my catre153!!This is my first try at a lord of the rings poem,but Ill try to make it good.The male elvain youth is legolas and the female elvain youth is MY Character Catre.

Darkness for an elf
Darkness hides my people,
comforting us,
camouflaging us in the trees,
our eyes not showing our feelings inside,
with bows in hands,
arrows on backs,
we prepare,
prepare to fight,
Humans march to and fro,
looking for there old foe,
never thinking to look up,
with arrows drawn,
elves prepared,
prepared to shoot,
with all their strength,
waiting for orders,
Darkness hides those who know,
know they belong,
Humans marching,
elves waiting,
the only sound heard,
is the leaves and sticks
breaking and crunching,
A whistle heard,
Arrows fly,
Shields are raised,
swords are drawn,
sound of pain,
sound of victory,
heard to the heart,
heart of my forest,
Darkness hides the scenes,
scenes of death all around,
one elf in his youth fights,
fights bravely for his people,
a young human male sticks,
sticks a sword through his back,
Legolas kneels,
hand over chest,
The sword went through,
No herb can heal,
as he kneels,
His long blonde hair,
covered in crimson blood,
he looks at me,
fear in his eyes,
with his last breathe,
There is nothing I can do,
his eyes are clouding,
I walk to him,
I put my arms around him,
comforting him,
Humans and elves alike,
never seen two elvain youths sitting,
sitting in the mist of the fighting,
The first rays of light show,
show what is left of battle,
Human and elvian bodies everywhere,
all but one dead,
A female elvian youth,
That lost a friend,
a good one at that,
I yelled in elvish,
"Why?Why do this to me?"
Darkness that hides my people,
hides them no more,
I must keep to darkness,
I am alone,
I disappear forever in shadows,
not to show my face again.
