Inulover; I wanted to explain how he came to tag along. There are other ways, but I think a friendship between parents is a good way to explain why people are friends. I'm not sure why you don't think it's true (not that I'm saying I do mind) Do you know something I don't?
Aerin; In this fic James has parents too and they aren't there for Harry. Who says his little sister survives? I didn't put italics or anything in in the first place because I wanted it to read like a book, and it's already written so it's be too much of a hassle to go back and change things now. I hope no one's having trouble understanding me though.
