My Brothers

For 400 years I lived with them,
For 400 years we bonded.
I know that many mortals cannot comprehend such a time,
But I can comprehend that amount of time.
I had to leave them,
But no one said it was going to be easy.
But I've never really left them,
Or so the mortals say.
They say we have an unbreakable bond,
We cannot see it, smell it, touch it, feel it, or taste it,
But it is there.
For once, I have to agree with them,
For they are speaking of a deep spiritual truth.
The bond I have with Dais, Cale, and Sekhmet is unbreakable,
A bond that must be put to the test.
But in the end, the bond will survive,
For the four of us are brothers bound by a similar soul.
We live together,
We die together,
We are of the same spiritual blood.
