This is nonsensical fic. Short and sweet.

Seishirou walked along the streets thinking about his last kill. Eyes sparkling maliciously, he suppressed the urge to let out a shout of gleeful laughter. It wasn't in his character to be cheerful but every time he killed, there was a bubbling of happiness that threatened to overwhelm him.

It was really pitiful the way people never knew what to expect. So sudden, so unclear, so boring. That realization struck him. It was always the same, he mused, going over the past 5 kills. Same old, same old. He would appear silently, like a shadow, let the crying fool say their last prayers before sticking his hand into their chest. If he was lucky, his victim would be still alive to endure the pain before blissfully going to the torturous hell that was the tree.

At least he still had Subaru to play with.

Speaking of which, he did have an appointment with said person. Putting a stride into his languid footsteps, he hurried to his destination, a smile flitting across his face.

They met halfway, and stood staring at each other for a few minutes before Subaru broke the stare.

"I'm not in the mood for your games, Seishirou. I've had a bad day and seeing you has made it worse." Subaru grumbled, lighting another of his cancer sticks.

"Really. So I guess I wouldn't bother you with the details of how the last person I killed died." Seishirou's weird humor threatened to make Subaru smile in spite of the ridiculousness of the situation. Subaru clenched his teeth and turned to leave.

"I'll be going, you sadistic son of a bitch." Subaru walked away. He was in no mood to spend time with Seishirou. Sure, he, for some insane reason, liked Seishirou, but today was not a good day to spend analyzing their relationship. He did not want to play.

A hand touched his shoulder, forcing him to stop his strides.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were in a bad mood. At least, I knew, but well, you've never given up a chance to play with me before." Seishirou gave him a charming smile that disarmed Subaru.

"Woah, you said I'm sorry. It's a historical moment." At last, Subaru consented to a slight smile. Not too wide, he cautioned himself, lest Seishirou gets cocky and thinks he's Mr-let's-cheer-everyone-up.

Seishirou slowly removed Subaru's gloves, tracing the inverted pentagram he had placed on the boy. He heard a sharp intake of breath and smiled.

"I'll play with you another day, ok? My Subaru-kun." With that, he handed back Subaru's gloves and placed a gentle kiss on the younger man's forehead. Subaru was too shocked to respond, merely pressing a finger to where Seishirou had kissed him. Seishirou walked away, his parting words staying in Subaru's mind, bringing him out of his previous melancholy.

"Until next time, my love."

Note: I've got to say that I just don't get it. Not sure if anyone will like this piece of watcha call it, fluff. Review review review.
