A candy striper? Dear God! Was she serious?!

The world was an unfair place and he just knew that somewhere someone was laughing at him. Jesus, she looked like a freaking mint--it was minty in a completely different way -a good kinda way--or a candy cane or...shit, a girl wearing a stripped jumper cut too low. Screw you, Seth Cohen, look what you're missing out on, those voices mocked -the one's that thought it was funny to torture him, he wasn't sure where they came from, though.

Fuck, he'd bet she tasted like cinnamon. That tantalizing fusion of spice and heat. He could almost feel it on his tongue; could almost sense her skin waking his tastebuds with a seductive dance. Damn!

That certainly was going to give him nice dreams when he was in his room, naked and 'studying'. Which reminded him of her being in his room, touching Captain Oats...no, caressing Captain Oats... Well, no, that was wrong, too, but it was hard to make out exactly what she was doing when he was still consumed with the fact that she was in his room at all. One thing he knew for sure: he'd never wanted to be a cheap plastic horse more than he did at that moment.

A woman's heart was not an easy thing to penetrate. His mom once told him girls' hearts were like flowers; delicate, fragile and if you weren't careful with them, you could crush them. He always remembered that. Apparently, the same was true for guys...well for him it was, anyway.

Summer's heart was wrapped in iron and strapped with C-4. Anyone that got close would find themselves in a world of hurt, because she opened it for no man...unless, she was caught off-guard.

She revealed herself as a hopeless romantic and a strong-willed intellect all with one reference to a book she'd probably read to Tom Shell, a man she was probably closer to than her own family, numerous times.

He wondered how often she came to the hospital. How many nights had she used it as an escape?

Summer actually cared about other people. She let that slip. Let him see that underneath that seductress smile there was a real person. Every time he thought of giving up on Summer, on just letting her go, something like this happened and he remembered why he liked her...and the outfit didn't hurt either.

Damn!
