Suffer Little Children

You could see her reflection in it. It was sharp to the point that you can't see the blade, yet it's there. Such fine work should not be used lightly.

Yes, it would not be used lightly.

Tomoyo grasped the long shaft of the poleax in her hand. She tested it on a nearby tree. It sliced neatly in two.

Perfect.

A crash turned Eriol from his desk. Tomoyo was at the door, her arm through a hole, trying to unlock the door. He unlocked and opened it.

"Gee, Tomoyo, you could have just knocked.

Tomoyo's face was grim and angry. Before Eriol could ask what was wrong, Tomoyo slammed the ax right into his brain. He spluttered a weak "why" before falling on the floor, brains spilling out.

Syaoran yawned and began to stroke his fiancée's hair. He felt something wet. At first, he thought it was Meiling's hair. Meling liked to take showers before bed.

It must have been the smell that clued him in to open his eyes.

He was stroking a bloody stump. Where Meiling's head used to be.

Syaoran screamed and jumped out of the bed. The next thing he knew, he was slammed against the wall, Tomoyo grinning at him, an axblade against his throat.

"Tomoyo! What are you doing?!"

"Making sure she doesn't suffer anymore."

Sakura woke up when Tomoyo accidentally dropped her poleax. She sat up and blearily rubbed her eyes. That's when she noticed Kero. He had been sliced in half, not unlike the tree. His blood dripped off Tomoyo's ax.

"Tomoyo!" Sakura cried out. "Why?"

"If it hadn't been for him, you wouldn't have had gone through all you went through. The Clow Cards should have left you alone. You should have been happy."

"But I am happy!"

"Are you?"

Sakura began to answer, then thought about her answer.

She never got to spend time with her non-Cardcaptor friends. Chiharu, Naoko, Rika, and Yamazaki barely knew she existed.

Being Clow Mistress left her no time for her family.

Yue hated her.

Eriol nearly got her killed.

And Syaoran……and Meiling….

"Did you kill Syaoran?"

Tomoyo nodded. "And Meiling. He'll never cheat on you with her again."

"Eriol?"

"My first victim."

"Yue?"

"To kill him would kill Yukito. I didn't kill him."

"I can't stay here."

"Die with me."

"Seriously?"

"Seriously."

Sakura faced Tomoyo, the ax between them.

"I love you Sakura."

"Me too."

They reached for each other as if to hug. The ax went through their chests.

There they laid when the Clow Cards separated to mourn all over the world.
