being a police officers daughter, isn't all it's cracked up to be, it often leaves me wondering, will she come home to me?

as she puts on that uniform of blue, i smile and wonder why, she chooses a job so daring, and then i realize, she has a job so hard to see, within the normal human eye, she risks her life everyday, to protect both you and i.

she never asks for thanks, so i'm going to do it for her, look aroung and see, she's got me to come home to.

not just herm but all cops have families like you and me, and they need to come home, alive and well..

after me and my mom got held up in the bank and i got to see what she does for a living and see that she is needed i decided that i will always remeber that she loves me and would take a bulllet for me so i will never be mad when she is late or doesnt make an event that she tries so hard to get to even if she is working.. see i realized that i am proud to say my mother is a cop and she serves and protects...

i ask that next time you think something bad about the officers in blue you will remeber what i have said and you will give them thanks that's well over due.....
