"Inuyasha...?" Kagome asked sleepily in the hazed protection of the night.
"Yeah, I'm in this maple tree behind you." came that all-too-familiar voice of Inuyasha.
Kagome turned. Distantly, she could hear the voices of Sango, Miroku, and Shippo in that 'tree' Inuyasha had said.
"What are you, an idiot?! Get up here!" he yelled.
"I can't rightly see in pitch blackness, damn it!" she screamed in frustration.
"Kagome, it's 4:00am. You sure you haven't gone bli-OW!" came Shippo's light, playful voice, as Inuyasha undoubtedly had hit him.
But had she been going blind? No, that couldn't be. She could see her hands. Everything else...was gone. Kagome then felt a piercing feeling in her gut. Thousands of feelings were trying to sort themselves out inside her. What if she never saw anything again? What if she never saw sweet Sota again? And the worst---what if she never saw Inuyasha again? These thoughts struck her so hard. She screamed like no

tomorrow. Words of comfort flowed from her companions mouths, one interupting another:
"No, it's oka-"
"We'll sort it out, Kago-"
"Don't cry!"
Many comments were heard when a voice, a deep, evil voice, rang through that forest.
"Hmm hmm hmm... So, human, you've felt the power of my illusions, have you? Good. Now, you must be separated from Inuyasha... or, better yet... banished with him?"
She felt a jerking sensation in her gut. She was being pulled. The next thing she knew, she was in an old cabin, with Inuyasha directly above her.
"Are you okay?" he asked. "You hit you head being transported here."
Kagome sat up. "No, I'm fine." she said. For the next couple minutes Inuyasha refused to so much as look at her. She finally asked, "Um, Inuyasha? You seem...preoccupied..."
He merely looked at her, violently blushing. He noticed she was crying.
"It's just-oh, no, don't cry, I'll tell you."
Kagome cheered up a little. "Well, what's up?" she asked.
"Um...well..."he blushed more than ever. He then took her hands and placed his lips upon hers. To his utmost surprise, she kissed back. He put his arms around her, as she did the same. He deepend the kiss, putting his tongue into her mouth. She kissed back, even though she wasn't that good. They then parted the kiss, as Inuyasha flushed.
"I, um, thought I'd just show you...I-" He was interupted by her pouncing and locking him in a tight embrace. They shared another passionate kiss before they both layed upon the floor.
"I love you," Inuyasha ventured.
"I love you, too," Kagome said, as they kissed once more.
