But what is this about Sora also being lusted after by another old friend? Will this new rival intervene with Tidus's newfound attraction towards Sora? What is this plan that his rival has to get Sora's feelings?

This story is set 1000 years before Tidus went on his quest with Yuna and the others. Tidus still went on his journey with Yuna but instead of only being a "dream", he just returned to his old home, Destiny Islands. Dream Zanarkand is still gone. If you are wondering, Spira is just another world apart of the Kingdom Hearts universe, just like Wonderland, the Colesseum, and Hollow Bastion.
