Severus Snape paced his room. He couldn't wait until 5:00! His mom and he
were going to the Weasley's for the night and then tomorrow they would go
together to Platform 9 3/4. He couldn't wait to see his best friend James
Weasley. They were both going to their first year at Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry.
In the middle of his pacing he did a little leap out of excitement and then bent down and went through the things in his trunk again. Going through his books didn't satisfy him so he went down stairs to the living room where his mom was sitting on the couch reading Witch Weekly.
"Mom, can we go now?" he asked his black eyes glowing with excitement.
Hermione sighed. "Severus, we still have two hours to go until they are expecting us. Do you have everything packed?"
"Yes, but I want to go now!" Severus said jumping with excitement.
"Calm down!" Hermione laughed.
"I can't wait!!" He said.
Hermione smiled and stood up.
"Well, you just have to. I want to see Harry and Ron just as much as you want to see James, but we'll have to wait," she said kissing his long black haired head.
Severus sighed.
"Alright. I'm gonna rearrange my things in my trunk."
"You do that," Hermione said laughing softly. She watched him run back up the stairs her eyes glowing.
He looked so much like his father. The only thing was that his black hair was a bit bushier than Severus Snape Senior's hair had been. He had those same eyes, same features, and same sarcastic attitude at times. Growing up without a father had been a hard on him. She would tell him stories and about his father, but what Severus needed was to actually know a father.
Harry had come close. He had helped Hermione with taking care of Severus when he had been a baby because she hadn't been able to provide very well. Harry never got married, but he dated every now and then and he had a lot of time to take care of Hermione when she got into a tight spot. She never really had been in a tight spot ever since she had started teaching Potions at Hogwarts.
She sat back down on the couch and flipped through her magazine not really seeing what was on the pages as the memories went through her mind.
