It was only midday, but the first few hours had been tiring. Joey threw off his shirt and climbed under the fleece covers of his bed. He was so tired and cold, it wasn't even funny. He drifted into a serene sleep.

"Joey! Wait!"

"Get lost, Mai! I told ya, I don't like ya! GET AWAY FROM ME!"

She grabbed his arm and didn't let go. Joey turned to face her and she looked like she had been crying.

"Mai, let go. I don't like ya at all! Let go-AH! DON'T TRY TO KISS ME!"

Joey awoke, sweating.
*What a nightmare. * He thought.

He got up and washed his face. After doing so, he checked the time.

"AH SHOOT! I was s'possed to meet Sammie at the park! AH HOW I HAVE OVER SLEPT?!?!?!?" Joey yelled and he put on his shirt and ran out.

Joey arrived in front of the park with no time to spare. He saw that he was already too late, because Sammie had cried herself to sleep on the bench. He tiptoed over to her and picked her up.

"Geez, Sam, I'm sorry," he whispered into her ear.

It seemed as though she was already in a deep sleep, but then she mumbled-

"Joey.? Is that you..?"

"Yeah, I'm here. Sorry for being late though," He said as he carried her to her friend's house.

"It's..ok..I was..worried..about...you....I.thought..something bad happened to you," Sammie mumbled, still half asleep.
