WHAT IF I GET A WEIRD E-MAIL?
Although we hope this never happens, its possible that you might receive an e-mail that makes you feel uncomfortable or seems like a scam. If this does happen, be sure to tell your parents and follow these steps:
1) *CLICK* the Forward button on the right of your e-mail.
2) In the TO (or Address) box: Type TOSEmail1.
3) *CLICK* the Send Now button.
TOSEmail1 is a special area of AOL that investigates e-mails people report. TOS stands for Terms of Service. Writing and sending strange e-mails to people violates AOL's Terms of Service, and if people are caught doing it, they will be kicked off AOL! So be sure to send anything really that makes you feel uncomfortable to TOSEmail1!
And remember these tips:
--Don't click on hyperlinks in emails sent to you by strangers, even if it appears interesting. The hyperlinks may take you a website where scammers will try to get your AOL password.
--Never share your AOL password with anyone.
-- NEVER, NEVER download anything that is sent to you from someone you don't know!
