A/N: Just a short little romance piece. It's normally what I write, sorry.

Catherine stormed out of Grissom's office embarrassed. The two of them had been dating for three months, and she had just told him that she loved him. She hadn't intended to, it had slipped out of her mouth while they were talking. He didn't say it back, not that she really expected him to, he just stared at her.

There was only twenty minutes left of the shift, and she didn't think she could stand it even that long. She found Sara, telling the younger CSI that she had to leave and headed home. The house was quiet; Lindsey was at a friend's sleepover. Normally Catherine hated being home alone, but today she needed to be by herself.

She took a long hot shower, and dressed in a set of comfortable pajamas. She made herself a drink of vodka and orange juice and settled on the couch to watch television. Twenty minutes and three drinks later her doorbell rang. Cursing loudly she stumbled to the door, and swung it open.

"Catherine," Grissom said.

"Gil. What are you doing here?" she asked, her words slurring.

"I need to talk to you," he said stepping in the house, and closing the door behind him.

"Now you want to talk? Before you couldn't even get one word out," she said.

"I was surprised. I didn't expect you to tell me you love me. At least not there, in that situation," he admitted.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it," she said sinking into the couch.

"Don't be sorry Catherine," he said. "I'm not sorry you told me. I'm just sorry I didn't say it back then."

"What are you saying?" she asked turning to look at him.

"I'm saying that I love you too Catherine," he said putting his arms around her.

"You do?" she whispered.

"Yes, Catherine, I do love you," he said.

Catherine didn't think it was possible to be so happy. She flung herself into his arms, attacking his lips. He pulled back a few minutes later and looked into her eyes.

"I'm sorry Catherine, I didn't mean to make you doubt that I love you," he said.

"I know now Gil, that's all that matters," she said kissing him again.
