Disclaimer- This is a fanfic! Which means it's a story written by fans hence the word fan. A fic is a story for those people who are not on this site too often... Fiction is a story or some written work that is not true! Except in Komiketto. but that's another story. I don't own anything except for this idea. Hopefully no one else thought of it at the same time and posted it earlier... Well enough rambling and on with the story. Rei is Ray in English but I like Rei better. And I'll go with Kon being Rei's last name if necessary. He is in high school but is home-schooled like all the Bladebreakers are. I know they went to a middle school with others but this is my story. Ray is 15(turning 16), Kai is 16, Max is 14, Tyson is 14 and Kenny is 14... Just to give you a rough estimate. So it is after the world championships.

"Kai! Tyson! Max! Chief! Where are you guys?" Rei called out to his teammates . It was quiet for a few seconds before Max came running out of the next room. "Help me Rei! Tyson's gonna get me!" Max was out of breath and laughing. It seemed that the two were playing tag. Tyson was IT. "Where'd ya go Rei?" Tyson asked, not spotting Max's blond hair behind Rei's body. "Oh. I'm taking a course at the local community college. It's on child development. It's actually pretty interesting." "Oh more school. Why do ya like school so much?" Tyson blurted out without thinking, as usual. "Yeah..." Rei was a little upset at Tyson at this point but soon just sighed and let it go. "I got this handout today about how the environment helps a child develop into an adult later in life. I'm going to try to analyze our pasts, well during childhood at least. By the way where's Kai? "Mr. Sourpuss? I don't know. But you know him, he goes off without telling anybody all the time." Tyson explained to Rei, not noticing the person behind him. "I'm right here Tyson." It was Kai. From the few years of knowing Kai, Rei could tell that Kai was upset by looking at his eyes. That was the only real way to decipher what Kai was feeling. "Oh, Kai since your here, did you hear what I'm doing?" Rei questioned the team captain. "Hn. You're not doing me. So forget about trying." Kai replied. "Sorry, but that answer already gave me some info. You grew up with..." Rei meant to say more, but Kai grabbed him by the waist and covered his mouth with his hand. He then dragged him into the other room. "You will not finish that sentence Rei. It doesn't matter about my 'childhood' Stop trying to analyze me. That stuff isn't right anyway." "How do you know? Just let me finish that thought. If not in front of them then in front of you. Please Kai?" "Hnh." "I'm taking that as a yes... Well, you must have grown up with fear, so you are apprehensive. That's pretty much all I can tell with the information I have. I couldn't tell how this came to be or even why you feel this way. Probably no one could, even you." "Well Rei, as surprising as it is that was right; well the second part at least." But Rei couldn't be too sure of that because Kai's cold, evil, bastard appearance almost slipped for a moment looked like a surprised, scared, little boy. Rei decided that he'd have to do some more research about that look and what could have caused it, later.

That's it for now. I'm actually taking a Child Development course in school. So I decided to write this story to try to analyze Kai's childhood. It's not as easy as it sounds. I am getting the information about this from a poem that was given to me on the first day I had the class this year. See ya next time!!!! Evie! ps Fanfiction is not letting me up load the story the way it should be with paragraphs. So if it annoys you complain to them not me.
