Rain Slicked Road
Takes place 11 days before the previous scene.
Shane sat in the back of Randy Orton's rental car on the drive to RAW. This was the big RAW before Survivor Series. He and Kane were going to really set up for the ambulance match with Shane having to be carried out leaving the fans to wonder if he'll be able to wrestle Sunday. His mind wandered to that match and his father's buried alive match Sunday. It was supposed to be the ultimate betrayal with his father burying him alive instead of the Undertaker. He couldn't wait. It would really set it up for future angles. Instead of just feuding with Kane, he'd also be feuding with the Undertaker.
The others in the car were Batista, Orton, and Christian. Batista and Orton were in the front. They had the radio on a rock station.
It was raining that day and there was steady traffic.
"We've got twenty minutes to get there Randy can't you go faster?" Christian asked.
"Hey Shane's with us. We can't get into too much trouble." Orton replied getting a few laughs from the others including Shane.
"Fuck!" Orton yelled swerving to not hit a car that swerved into their lane. The car spun around and the car behind them hit them from behind sending the car crashing into the guardrail. Shane's left leg was crushed. The pain causing him to pass out.
He came to as someone was trying to pull him from the car. He had to bite back a scream as his leg was pulled away from his entrapment. He was placed on a stretcher and wheeled quickly into the ambulance as soon as his leg was braced. He could only think about the pain he was in.
"Don't worry sir. We'll have you at the hospital soon." The EMT said. He saw Orton was also in the ambulance. His arm was braced.
"How are the others?" Orton asked.
"Looks like they are okay. The car did more damage on the left side then the right. We are taking all of you to New England Sinai Hospital. What are your names?"
"Randy Orton and Shane McMahon." Randy answered for both of them. Shane was relieved because the pain in his leg was too much to handle right now.
There was silence as one of the EMT's injected something into Shane. He sank into the blissful darkness.
