Professor McGonnagal and Dumbledore had been arguing over whether to let a boy with Neurofibromatosis into Hogwarts. The facial features of somebody with this are awful. Eventually, they will die, because the bone in the skull is applying pressure on the brain. The pressure breaks down nerves causing their brain to collapse. "Are you sure you want to do this?" asked Professor McGonnagal. "Yes, the quill wrote his name down. We should give him the satisfaction of learning magic before he goes," said Dumbledore. "But he has Neurofibromatosis," whispered Professor McGonnagal. "Yes, I know, but we offer magic schooling to anyone who exhibits magical ability. Someone with a disease should not be any exception. Yes, eventually he will pass away because of the effects of the disease, but we don't know when that will be. He may finish all of his years at Hogwarts," Dumbledore stated. "What about the horrible deformity? He'll look different from the others. Won't they make fun of him?" she asked. "We'll make sure he's with Ginny Weasley. I'll have a talk with the sorting hat," Dumbledore said. "All right, I'll send him the letter," replied Professor McGonnagal. She walked out of his office and to her room. She sent Samuel the letter that stated that he had been accepted into Hogwarts. Dumbledore got down the sorting hat and said, "A boy named Samuel Grodgens is coming to Hogwarts this year. He has Neurofibromatosis though. I want him to be in Gryffindor so that he will be with Ginny Weasley. I know that she will do all that she can to protect him from being made fun of." "I see, I see. I will put the boy in Gryffindor. I will notify you if he was to go in another house though. Just so you can be aware of it," said the sorting hat. "Good, Gryffindor it is."
