I see the way you look at her,
I see the way you smile.
I'm sure she's the star in your eye,
I just wish you'd tell me where I lie.
She's in the drama "Of Your Life,"
She's got the leading part.
But all in all it's make-believe,
Do you know if she has a heart?
You say her eyes shine with innocence,
But believe me it's just the light.
If you've seen her, the way I've seen her,
You'd run away in fright.
I know she has your heart,
But she's someone I wouldn't recommend.
She'll love you and leave you,
Then do it all over again.
I'll not be a nuisance,

You should have left that girl alone!
