I walked home from school on my own. My friends went the other way five minutes earlier; my cousin was absent that day. I had to pick up the card reader from the store on the way home. They promised it'd be in by now. By now I was getting impatient. I began to run. I was almost at the store when I tripped.
I had landed face down, and judging from the wetness on my face, I had landed in a puddle of water. There was a sharp pain in my knee, due to the fact that I'd landed on a small, full plastic-bag.
I opened the bag.
Inside the bag, was a thick pile of Digimon cards, bound by elastic. On the top, was a familiar blue card. I had once seen one on a TV show.
Now would be a good time to get up.
