They say the winners in war are the ones that make history. How can that be true? The winners can't change the fact that someone stood up to defy them. The winners can't cover up their lies forever. Because there will always be someone who will remember the truth. And that truth can be passed on until the winners can't deny it. Katsu, you took that job upon yourself; it was a bold step, my friend. But I know why you did it. You did it out of love for the Sekihoutai and the captain.
They say the losers in war are always forgotten. That can't be right. I know it. I remember the Sekihoutai. So do you, Katsu. And so does Kenshin, and Kaoru, and Yahiko. As long as we live, we will all remember the what the Sekihoutai was fighting for.
What they say is wrong.
Maybe not in the next ten years, or even a hundred, but someday... someday there will be equality and justice and peace. And then the truth about the Sekihoutai won't be covered up.
