AN: This story is inspired by the fact that its fall. But I'll take warm weather any day. Also I've always wanted to write a little Shane/Kelly story.

"Hey Shane"

Shane smiled as he saw Kelly with a leaf in her hair and pulled it out for her. "New look?"

She gave him one of her looks, "oh very funny".

"Raking leaves I see".

"No I'm just standing here in the back of Storm Chargers holding a rake for the fun of it".

"Not feeling cheerful?" he asked concerned. "Shane I was being sarcastic actually I'm enjoying myself".

"Where's Dustin?"

"Doing inventory I insisted on it".

Shane smiled, "boy you must be pretty mad at him". They both laughed at that.

"Being the boss has its advantages" she replied smiling.

"You want some help?" he asked.

"Sure there's another rake right there".

Shane was soon beside her working intently. After awhile Kelly came back with a couple of sodas. "You know what I love most about fall?" she asked.

"The weather cooling down a little?"

"No being able to jump in the leaf piles and just playing the leaves".

"Kelly you never struck me as the type to just let loose".

"I have my moments I swear Shane sometimes you can be so serious".

"I've always been that way".

"Didn't you play in the leaves?"

"When I was a kid but it's to embarrassing now".

Kelly looked at him intently, "why?"

"Because well I'm an adult".

"Even adults can have a little fun every now and then".

Kelly picked up a bunch of leaves and threw it at him, "hey what was that for?"

"Come on Shane I'm sure you have an inner child just dying to get out". She threw some more at him.

"Ok that's it!" Shane grabbed a pile of leaves and threw them straight at her and within seconds a full blown leaf fight was going on. Soon they were both on the ground laughing.

Kelly smiled at him, "admit it you had fun".

Shane smiled; "yeah I did" he looked at her and gathered his courage, "Kelly what if I told you I'm attracted to you?"

"What if I told you I feel the same?"

They looked at each other stunned, "you're attracted to me?" they both asked at the same time. Both nodded yes.

Then they shared a tentative kiss that quickly became passionate. Finally they pulled apart. "I thought spring was the season where Cupid struck?" Shane commented.

"Guess not want to go back to raking leaves?"

He smiled, "no not raking them" and within seconds the leaf fight was back in full swing.

And for the rest of that afternoon they forgot everything except letting their inner children out to play in the leaves.

The End
