Chapter One – Anguish! ~tsubasa no phoenix~

Plip, plip, plip - - - the sound of salty pure tears falling as he silently cried for her.

Plip, plip, plip - - - the careless rain pounding down on his icy windowpane answering back in the stormy twilight.

The echoing sound of drops was all that could be heard, but if the emotions inside of him could be heeded by the world outside it would be quite like a mixture of gushing waterfalls and crackling thunder. The warring that went on beneath his dead azure orbs was so intense that, had anyone dared to try and look into them, they would have probably been rendered completely and utterly frightened to their innermost core.

He was vaguely gazing through the misted window from an upward position on the thinly covered bed, the clenching and unclenching of his fists on the off-white sheets barely making a sound. Near the bed lie a simple metal night-stand, and upon it was a small plain lamp. Had a regular stranger come and taken a first glance at this room, they would have seen all of these things - - - that is, with the exception of one thing, a picture frame hidden behind that lamp. 

And what was in that silvery frame?

Within its hoary skeleton lay the photograph of a large group consisting of both men and women, and though they were all different in appearance, they all had something in common as well - - -

- - -they were all smiling.
