Ok, this takes place about one year after Fusion. despite Samus' ever- present knack for detecting danger, she allowed herself to fall into relaxation. One evening, as she was just finishing her dinner on a peaceful planet Hawkwatch her once removed partner, Adam, now in the form of an on board computer, chimed in a message.
"Hey, lady? I've got a decent bounty here. He goes by the name of Crest, and he is an illegal weapons manufacturer. Local police tracked a ship with his mark to Talon. Wait, why does that name sound familiar?" Said Adam.
"That is like my home, in a way." She replied. "I think we should actually check this one out. How much is the price?
"Phew! There's thirteen million on him!" Adam said ecstatically. Samus almost dropped her plate in shock. After recovering, she walked to Adam's console and looked at it wearily. There was a look of mixed shock and fear on her face.
"Wow, we could be living easy with that kind of money, I'm thinking we should depart immediately. Any objections. What is wrong?" Adam asked just now noticing the aura his partner had.
"I'm not that worried about the money, it's just that if the police are willing to give up 13 mil for one man, then he must be really dangerous. And he's on Talon!"
Samus walked over to her water dispenser and filled a glass. At first, she just stared at it. Then, slowly, she drained the glass. After drinking all the water, she sat down in the pilots seat.
"Yeah, I think we should go now. Adam, get ready for liftoff!"
"Way ahead of you. So long, Hawkwatch. Thrusters online. Shields online. Weapon systems online. Ready when you are, lady."
"Ok, let's go."
And they shot into space.
So, what did you think? This should be a pretty solid basis for a story. And, I think I did a pretty good job! Well, for being the very first fic I've ever written, any way. As always, R&R please!
