Summary: Faith one shot.
Faith's feet pounded on the sidewalk as she ran dodging the innocent bystanders who had no idea of the anger and pain she felt. Slipping around a corner she saw a park up ahead. Finally a place to hide.
The park was deserted, trees lined the perimeters while lampposts and benches dotted the grounds. Faith stopped in the middle of the clearing. She jerked around, her senses on alert. Her eyes darted along the horizon a grim smile played on her lips, now the fun could begin.
Faith had been living in New York for about a month when Professor Charles Xavier came to her offering her a place to live. She had accepted for the sake that there was pressing to do then. It was under no circumstances for the handsome man, the one with purple black hair, that she accepted. She was twenty-two for gods sake. She had defeated the big bad; she had been small parts of the big bad. She had even been in jail for murder.
When she had walked into the institute she lifted an eyebrow, "You live here?"
Logan growled, "What don't like it?"
"Not really, I much prefer the likes of a prison cell to fancy décor." She stated. "Now where's my room?"
Logan's mouth dropped at that, he made a mental note to ask the professor what she had meant about prison.
AS Faith was directed up the stairs, she ran into a boy with blue skin, "Hey, Blue what's up?"
Kurt was startled, "Vat are you doing here? Vho are you?"
"Faith, now chill B, tell me where can someone get something to eat around here."
By dinnertime all the boys were drooling at Faith's feet, and it hadn't been diminished by the fact that Faith had whooped all their buts in the danger room with out fancy powers.
"So Faith, where are you from?" Jean seethed, elbowing Scott who was starting to drool.
"Been in California a few years, Sunnydale, LA. Been around."
"I heard you were in prison but you escaped." The red head sneered.
Logan choked at that notion. Faith shrugged, "Maybe."
Scott narrowed his eyes, "What do you mean maybe?"
Faith bristled, her eyes hardened, "yes, I was in jail. No I didn't escape, I was broken out so I could stop Angelus."
"Whose Angelus?" Jean taunted.
"A vampire."
Everyone visibly faltered, "There are no such things, are there?" Rogue asked.
"Yes there are Rogue and many more. Faith here has dealt with most of them." The professor interrupted.
"Who was Angelus?" Bobby piped up.
Faith smiled, "He was a friend a long time ago, a vampire with a soul. But it ws taken away and they needed me to stop him so they could reinstate his soul."
"Still doesn't answer why you were in jail." Jean growled.
"1st degree murder."
Everyone gasped, "You didn't kill any one did you?"
"Yes."
Logan faltered, she was a murderer? Shaking his head he left the room. Faith watched him go.
Saddened she turned her head down, she was never able to get the good guys. The ones that mattered. Looking up she plastered a smile on her face, she was Faith and it was about time that she lived up to her name.
