FOR BOROMIR

Author's notes: I know this is etremely short, and not even one page, but. And it is written in Faramir's Point of View.

REVISED EDITION Dedicated to WookieBeta with the idea of a flashback(even though this flashback is one sentence) ~~~~~~

The Ring, right in front of me..I could easily take it. I could easily take it, and give it to my father..then we could win this war against Sauron. Then we could avenge Boromir.

But yet... A small voice in the back of my mind keept saying:

Don't take it Faramir, don't take it. Look what it did to your own brother..he DIED because he tried to take it. Don't take it..

I had to choose. Take it now, or never. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*****(flashback)

Boromir glanced at me. "Good-bye, little brother. I will return."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That was the last I saw of my brother, and the last I would ever see.
I made my choice.
Never. I would not take the Ring. It corrupted my brother. And even though my brother was gone, and he fell to the Ring, it was him that help me with my decision.
The Ring had to be destroyed. And I would help in anyway I could. For Boromir.
"Do not fear. For I would not take this thing if I found it on the ground of Minas Tirith. I will not take it." I told the hobbits.
I turned to a soldier. "Let them go. Now." The ring-bearer momentarily closed his eyes.
"Thank you." He said. "For the Ring would not help Gondor."
I nodded. "I know. Now go, now, while you can!" I urged.
The Ring and the ring-bearer left. And I hoped, that for Boromir, the Ring would be destroyed.
