Ginny doesn't smile much anymore. She's worried. She smiles when you can see her, because she doesn't want to be a bother. She knows what that's like. But they're not her proper smiles, the eyes are too dull. Ginny remembers things from when she was a little girl. Except she wasn't really. She feels shaken and bruised as she waits, counting the days till she'll see him again. She knows it'll happen. Meanwhile, Tonks tickles and makes puns, regales Ginny with Tales of her Youth, which helps some, then realizes it's not enough. So then there is nuzzling and holding, and is this okay? and you know I love you, which maybe doesn't have to be a trick. This helps better. And when she does end up seeing him, a few years after she first got so scared, Ginny smiles and raises her wand, and no one could ever say she was a bother. In fact she's praised for her heroism, and she is very modest about all of it. Anyone with a grudge against Tom would've done it, given the opportunity, she says. When Ginny smiles properly there is no stopping her, Tonks explains quite smug, to the press.
