A/N: I love the show Everwood, and often wonder what it would be like to live in a town like it, so I wrote this story. Please R&R, and I hope that you enjoy reading my story...

Ephram walks over to a new girl. "Hey.." he says." I am Ephram Brown...Welcome to life in Hell." The new girl looks up at him, (she is only 4'9"!)"So, I take it that this place is as boring to the people that grew up here as it seems to me?" She asks. "Oh, I didn't grow up here, actually, I was forced to move here about a year ago. But yeah, some of the people that grew up here hate this little hell-hole of a town called Everwood.
"Ok. Well, my name is Star." the girl informs Ephram. "What class are you in? You only look about 12 or 13..." Ephram says. "Thank you very much for pointing that fact out to me....I am a sophomore...What class are you in?" Star responds, a bit sarcastically. "Hey, sarcasm, finally, someone who speaks my language! I am a junior. Well, better get to class, if you need to find somewhere, just let me know.....Hey Lanie..." Ephram said as he started to walk towards a girl in all black, with pretty short hair.
Star wondered around the halls for a few moments before she found her class. As it turned out, she had been but in advanced classes. Her old school must have sent a notice that she had been in all advanced classes there along with her transcript. She walked in the door of the classroom and was told to sit in the back of the class. A short time after she sat, the bell rang, and a few kids came rushing in the door, and ran to their seats. One sat right in front of Star.
All of a sudden, the boy turned around. "I thought that you were a sophomore...What are you doing in here?" It was Ephram. "I am in all advanced classes....."
"Ahem..." The teacher cleared his throat. "Class, we have a new student....Miss Star Shadows. She just moved here from New York city......I expect that a least a few of you will make an effort to make her feel at home................." The teacher went on and on, going straight through a bunch of notes and stuff.
Ephram walks over to Star at lunch. "You came from New York city?" He asks. "Yes, why?" Star asks. "No reason....Just wanted to know. Ah, here are Lanie and Amy...Later." He started to walk away, but Lanie and Amy were walking their way. "Hi." Amy says as they walk up. "I am Amy, and this is Lanie. So, how have you liked your first day here so far?" She asks.
"Well, if you take away the fact that everyone here are assholes, and they are all stuck up, then hey, it's been like being in hell...Only, that would be an understatement, wouldn't it?" Star hadn't had a very good morning. "Sorry, didn't mean to bit your head off...." She apologizes. "Well, at least we know that you aren't the only person who got that view of us at first...Ephram was the same way at first."
