Jackson Montgomery looked at his daughter, Greenlee DuPres. "You ready for this, sweetie?" he asked. She looked up at her father. "Yes, I am. Leo is gone. He would want me to move be happy. And I have that with Ryan," she said. "Okay, then let's go down that aisle," Jackson said. They got ready to go. Jackson opened the door and there stood David Hayward. "David, leave. This is Greenlee's wedding day," Jackson said. "No, Jackson. I have to talk to her now. It's about Leo," David replied. Jackson stepped out of the room and shut the door. "David, Greenlee is happy. She has realized that Leo is not coming back. Let her be," Jackson said. David tried to reply. "No, that's just it, Jackson. Leo." he began. "Leave, David. Now," Jackson said. Jackson went back into the room with Greenlee. "It's okay, Greenlee. He's leaving," Jackson told her. Greenlee, hurrying about said, "What did he want, Daddy?" Jackson smiled at his daughter. "Nothing, honey," he said.
Jackson and Greenlee took their place at the end of the aisle of the Wildwind Chapel. "Are you really ready for this?" he asked. Greenlee smiled. "Yes, I am. Ryan is going to make me happy," she said. "Okay, then let's go," he said. They began down the aisle. Greenlee smiled when she saw Ryan. Jackson kissed her on the cheek and he took his seat. "We are gathered here today ." the preacher began. Greenlee looked up at Ryan with tears in her eyes. "If anyone has just cause why these two should not be married, then please speak now," the preacher said.
"I object!" someone shouted from the back of the chapel. Everyone turned and saw David standing there. And beside him was the presumed dead Leo DuPres. Greenlee gasped and Ryan turned quick enough to catch her as she passed out.
