And now...

Kiss and Telemain

"Morwen, I love – no, that's not right. Morwen, we've know each other for a long time, and – no, no that's not it at all!" Telemain sighed and slumped into a nearby chair. He had been standing in front of his mirror for over an hour, practicing what he was going to say. To her. To Morwen.

He had know her forever and loved her almost as long. Her smile...her eyes...God, even her cats.

He had combed his normally disheveled hair and put on his best clothes. He had heard that girls liked bowties, so he had dug an old red one out of his drawer and clipped it on.

She'll be here soon, he thought nervously. Returning to his mirror, he gave himself a last minute pep talk.

"You're irresistible. Women love you. Men want to be you. You're–"

"Flattering yourself, dear," his magic mirror finished.

"Shut up," Telemain snarled. "Morwen will–"

KNOCK.

She's here, Telemain thought numbly. Moving on leaden legs he somehow made it to the door and opened it.

Morwen waited for the door to open, and when it did she was surprised (to say the least). Telemain was wearing a bowtie. His hair was combed. He was smiling very nervously. Morwen became a tad bit nervous herself.

"Telemain," she said briskly, "you said it was important."

Telemain's heart was pounding out of control. He could feel blood rushing through his veins. He wanted to scream at the sudden agony of his thoughts, of his love for her. Sweat was dripping into his eyes, blinding him. One thought reverberated in his head: What if she doesn't feel the same?

"Telemain?" Morwen's voice brought him back to reality.

"Morwen...I..." Suddenly shy, his cheeks burning. He could not look at her, only the floor.

But Morwen reached out to him, forcing him to look into her eyes.

"I know," she said simply. And she kissed him.
