A Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy Kouger

Disclaimer: I do not own Freddy Krueger or "A Nightmare on Elm Street." I simply write fan fictions about him.

She did not understand how she got here, but here she was, in a large labyrinth of pipes and rails. Emilia was in a boiler room. The hot steam caressed her face in sweat, running and dripping down her brown fur, soaking her nightgown. Nightgown, was she asleep? Is this just a dream? The female chipmunk adolescent looked down at her feet, seeing the pink sock she always wears to bed. This must be a dream. But why would I dream of a boiler room. She decided to let go of the thought. Most people aren't in control of their dreams in the first place. *Clang!* Emilia jumps at the sudden noise, turning instinctively toward the sound. Nothing was there.

Emilia jumped when she felt a hot drop of water drip onto her back. Felt? How could she feel anything in a dream? She stood for a moment pondering this metallic wonderland when she heard the sound of metal scraping against metal. The fur in her body stood on ends when she saw a dark silhouette emerge from the smoke and mist. What? The figure was man like, standing about five foot ten inches, his clothing consist of a simple red-green striped sweater. A brim dark hat rested upon his head. He steps into the light and Emilia let out a gasp. The man's face was like a cat, a cougar to be exact. However, his fur seemed burned away, revealing burnt red and brown flesh, bits hanging and tearing from his face. Several pores are open revealing the sickening muscle tissue that aligns under the skin. His eyes were w cool yet bright grey, his pupils small, almost snake like. But Emilia did not gasp because of that. She gasps because of the glove he was wearing on his right hand. Six inch blades, each on a finger, protrude and curve inward like the talons of a vulture. The blades were playfully scraping against the metal pipe, the same sound she heard moments ago.

His lips part into a smile, revealing his shark like fangs and blacken gums. He was sickening to look at. He spoke, "Hello, dear child. Are you lost?" His voice was deep and cold. Emilia panics and turned around, only to face the cougar again, only inches from her face, his teeth bare. She lets out a piercing shriek..

"Honey?" Emilia awoke with a start in her bed, her body soaked with sweat. She looked around. She was back in her own room, her little stuffed teddy bear lying on the floor, staring up at the girl in a puzzled look. She picked him up and held him to her chest. "Honey?" Her father, William, opened her door, a worried look spread across his face. "Are you alright? We heard you screaming."
"I'm fine, daddy." She said, wiping tears from her face. "It was just a nightmare." But why do I remember it with so much detailed? The boiler room, the steam, even the man's face.
The father did not seem so reassuring. "Are you sure everything's alright?"
The girl gave a reassuring smile, "Yes, daddy. I'm alright." She turned back over as her father closed the door. But will I be? For some reason, Emilia could not fall back to sleep.
