Present: Battlefield

Sunni, who was in great pain from her injuries, knew the battle was over, as she looked up, a little. Even at great pain to herself, she could see the bodies of Ogres, that were now meeting their makers. Sunni crawled as best as she could towards Buddi, who she thought was lifeless also; she only hoped that he had not died but seeing his body there put her greatest fears toward the front of her mind, thinking that she may have lost her best friend in battle.

Buddi opened his eyes as Sunni was using part of the torn dress she ripped from Lady Bane as a bandage for his belly. She then found another part of the dress to wrap Buddi's hand up; it was severely burned and was bleeding slowly, oozing out more blood than she'd ever seen before in a burn. She had only seen one burn this severe before in her young life, and it was an illustrated first aid book in Gummi Glen's library. She only hoped that the others would be coming soon to help them out. Sunni's biggest fear was that both of them would die here before help could arrive in time.

Sir Plucki ran down to where Cubbi fell. In an act of heroics, he'd sacrificed himself to not only save Wooddale, but the others from the Zorlock. With Zorlock's power slowly dissipating, the Leviathan Giant fell as well as the last of the evil Aerials. Tavi, who'd also seen the flash when Cubbi sacrificed himself to save the others, came to the side of her best friend; she touched his lifeless body, it glowed from the power of the destruction of Zorlock. His armor was still shiny, but his helmet was off his head; when he fell it was knocked off. What surprised her was how Cubbi looked; she'd expected to see Cubbi at his worst from the power, but he looked as he did when she last saw him in his knight uniform, not even soiled from the fall.

Buddi looked at his best friend wondering if they were going to that great bear cave in the sky, where many of the fallen Gummies and others were now at. To his surprise, Buddi could see the outline of Ecri coming toward them. Sunni figured it was the bright flash that attracted the knight and surviving twin to investigate. He was shocked to see that Sunni and Buddi had survived but saw that their injuries were life threatening, and he decided to use the same emergency healing potion that Plucki had used with Cubbi to help save them; he had grabbed the vial from his fallen twin's belt to avoid it from falling into enemies' hands. So, he opened one of the vials. He held Buddi's limp body to a slight sitting position and told him to drink some; this potion was a little different from the one Cubbi had drank. It was meant for battle; it started to act instantly to help heal Buddi's bloody wounds. They stopped bleeding as they glowed; they then started to heal. He then gave some to Sunni. He could still hear Buddi groan in slight pain as the wound healed to stop the blood flow. Sunni's wounds also healed from the potion, where it sealed the huge gash on her shoulder. The wound on her ankle also healed fast and even the exposed cut, fur and clothing that touched the blood seemed to mend. Ecri knew the potion would keep them from bleeding and dying a slow painful death; he knew they needed immediate medical attention or they would still be in danger of dying. Ecri, using some branches and some of the clothing from a dead ogre was able to construct a makeshift liter to take the injured cubs back to a medical aid station to get them help. Ecri, once he built the makeshift liter, was able to lift both cubs on to it and was surprised to see how light both were. Now, both were very pale; he placed them on the liter and started for the closest aid station for help; he had part of it on his own back, and the other part drug on the ground.
