My first Signs story! Isn't this exciting!!! Ok here I go.
Now so none of you get confused this is the key: ~~~~ Bo~~~~
*****Morgan***** ^^^^^Graham^^^^ &Merrill&
(The others)
It was a crisp September night and the corn leaves played music in harmony
with the crickets. Bo, Morgan, Graham, and Merrill were all sleeping.
Graham tossed and turned with dreams of his wife.
~Bo~
I got up and pushed my blond hair out of my face. The room was dark and
the clock downstairs ticking echoed. I looked at the glass of water next to
her bed and she picked it up. Slowly I took a sip, but I quickly spit it back in.
It's too warm. I thought. Jumping off the bed I quietly went down to the
kitchen to get some water. I grabbed a chair and reached for a cup. As the
faucet filled the cold glass I glanced out the window.
^Graham ^
The sound of glass shattering woke me. I ran downstairs to Bo white like a
ghost. "Bo honey are you okay?" I asked softly. Slowly she pointed to the
window and I saw a light. Not a star, but it moved. I went upstairs and I
gently woke Morgan. "Morgan. do you remember what that book said
about what the alien's space ship looked like?" I tried not to sound worried
to act up his asthma. He rubbed his eyes and looked up at me. "Well they
look like balls of lights most of the time. Remember on the news?" My mind
flashed back to the memories of the Invasion. "Morgan get Bo and head
down to the basement. I'll get Merrill." Morgan grabbed his medication and
ran downstairs.
& Merrill &
"Merrill get your water gun!" I jumped out of bed and saw Graham. "Why?"
I rubbed my cheek with the back of my hand and looked out the window.
The lights made me jump out of bed. "They're in the basement. Crap! I
forgot!" Graham and I ran down the stairs and we only made it half way to
the house, but we were stopped. On the roof was four aliens. The kid's were
inside alone!
~ Bo ~
I clutched Morgan when I heard the footsteps. "Okay we have to look for
some water. It's gonna be ok Bo I promise." He held the flashlight in his
spare hand and looked around the room. The flashlight traveled from shelf to
shelf. BANG! Morgan and I jumped and we turned around. There in the
door were the aliens and they didn't look so happy. Instantly I screamed.
^ Graham ^
The aliens jerked their heads toward the house when Bo screamed. They
began to talk to each other then turned their attention to us. Two of them
jumped down and walked toward Merrill and I and the other two went inside
the house. "DAD!" Morgan and Bo were being carried out on their
shoulders into the cornfield. They threatened the children with the poison
dispensers in their arms. I glared at the aliens that stayed in front of us.
"You can't take them from us again. I know how to beat you!" The alien
talked to the other one and they looked back at us and shook their heads.
Both of them jumped into the cornfield and followed the rest of the aliens.
Immediately Merrill and I ran after them. Pushing the corn leaves out of my
face we came to the crop circle that the corn seems to grow like that every
year. No one was there. No Bo, No aliens, No Morgan. I fell to my knees
and began to cry. "I lost them..not again."
Welley welley well! I hope you liked my first Signs story! WHOO!* Band starts to play, but suddenly stops * Well that's enough of that. Review and tell me what you think.
