I screamed; a high shrill scream. The pain was unbearable. The wound on my throat reappeared, as fresh looking as though it had been bitten a mere minute ago. My nails grew long and repulsively green. The skin of mine grew paler and paler and my fangs (my hated, hated fangs) grew longer and longer.
My transformations, had always been painful. Luckily, they happened once a year but I stayed as a vampire for two months a year.
It was always like this. I had been born with it. All because of that stupid thing called Love.
You see, my mother had been quite young when she met a vampire who she had fallen in love with. The vampire loved her as well and they eloped. Then, they had me. My father's clan had been angered and they killed my father and mother together in one strike. I have no idea why I was spared but it was because of my foolish parents I'm doomed to such misery. My mother died because of her love for another. Foolish and idiotic.
I know, I know. I sound like a cold heartless vampire girl right? Well, I'm not. You'll find that out soon.
I had completed my transformation and as I gazed in the mirror, I saw not myself but a wilder, more evil version of me. My red curls had gotten longer and ever more untamed. My skin which had been pale before now looked as though I had not one drop of blood in my veins. My green eyes seemed to pop out of my head with the emerald green it had.
I turned away from my reflection. I'm now a vampire. A sadistic, evil, murderous one. And I'm staying like this for two months. Chills and thrills.
I stumble over to my clawed cot and grope the covers. I then pull a sleeping potion. I sleep for two months, that way, I won't harm anyone. Plus, I won't need sleep for the rest of the year that way. Funny how vampire's systems work, eh?
I fell onto my cot and into a deep slumber.
Two months later, I woke up.
To a whole new world.
