The front gate slammed shut as Joseph and Dunga left for groceries. They had complained about the empty fridge so Mariam sent them out.She stayed at the hideout with Ozuuma, who was still uneasy and injured from the battle with Tyson. The red and grey haired boy sat in his bed, drinking a glass of water as Mariam brought him a hot towel."Well at least you can stop worrying now,the four scared Bit Beasts are in good hands."Mariam gleefully explained.Ozuuma just nodded silenty as he watched Mariam get up off the side of the bed."Wh..where are you going?"he asked quickly.Mariam turned around and pointed to the bathroom."Well hurry up and come back, please."Ozuuma nagged. It was strange, because Ozuuma was never really the type to seek company much.Mariam entered the room to see Ozuuma's cheeks redden, his forehead burning when she felt it.It was obvious he showed signs of a mild fever."Get some rest..you have a fever."she pleaded.Ozuuma laid his head on the pillow and clutched onto Mariam's wrist. She seemed a bit shocked, but because of the fever,it was possible not to think straight. At least that's what she thought.

The next day,Ozuuma had gotten up bright and early to take a look at the sun rise and reflect on everything bothering is mind.It was his destiny to seal the Bit Beasts and he knew they were fine now..but something seemed to be missing.-clunk clunk-"Mariam?"Ozuuma exclaimed at the noise.Instead he saw Joseph, pounding heavy footsteps on the roof's surface."Huh?You want to see my sister? She's at the pond, just finished her shower."he sighed.Ozuuma instantly jumped away, leaving Joseph and an arriving Dunga in awe."He didn't say good morning!"Joseph yelled as Dunga chuckled to Joseph's child like behaviour.

Ozuuma arrived at the pond to see Mariam in a grey long sleeve and pants, covered with a white jean jacket."Ozuuma?"she questioned. But before she could continue her sentence and greeting,Ozuuma stepped towards her and held a hand to her face."Do..you feel the same way Mariam?"he gently asked. The blue haired beyblader stood in silence as she slowly placed a hand on his chest, followed by a shove that put some distance between them. She turned away in confusion, and Ozuuma was hurt.He landed on the floor crushing the wound in his back,as he began to yell in pain."Ozuuma!!"Mariam yelled as she ran to aid her comrade.Ozuuma held tightly onto her."Don't pull away..please.."he begged.Mariam nodded as she pulled his heavily damaged body onto her back, then carrying him back to his room.Along the way,Mariam had nearly triped a few times, but she had kept on going.

When Ozuuma finally reached the soft comfort from his bed,he grabbed Mariam's arms and dragged her onto the sheets where she could rest for a while. He riskily placed his hand on her shoulder, hoping she would understand his solitude and lonliness without her.In return,Mariam looked at him for a while and took his shirt off, then grabbing some bandages to wrap his wounds.No..Ozuuma's wounds could not be healed that way.He threw the bandages to the side of the bed and grabbed Mariam with all his might, pressing his cold lips onto hers. She didn't squirm, but she held him tightly and warmly like she had once done when they were little. The warmth that she always provided Ozuuma was comforting,as he broke to catch a breath of air.Mariam wiped the sweat off his forehead with a cloth and pulled his head next to her neck. The lonely blader leaned against her,his emotions broken as he begged for some protection and comfort.Mariam pulled the sheets to him, warming him up as she felt a hand move around her waist fairly quickly.A slight shade of pink flashed around her cheeks as the two sat in the steel room, knowing that the only thing they needed was each other.
