Summary: Clark can't get to sleep.
A/N: I'm really sorry, but I can't remember who beta-ed this (it's
been quite a while). Thank you anyway, whoever you are)

"Lex?"
A drowsy murmur comes from the vicinity of the big mahogany bed. A
small shuffle and then all is quiet again.
Clark curses himself for coming, but also for not wanting to go away.
He takes a few steps closer to the bed.
It's the middle of winter, windy and snowing moderately outside, and
Clark can see the left arm of Lex's woollen pullover just above his
blanket. He's not sure if Lex just forgot to change or if he's wearing
it for extra warmth.
He moves close enough to touch Lex and he can't help but caress the
lips, that are so tantalizingly close now, with a callused finger.
Lex's eyes flutter open and see Clark crouching in front of him.
"Lex," is barely whispered towards him and he wonders if he's still
dreaming. "I know this looks strange, but I couldn't sleep and I
thought...well...can I sleep here...with you?"
It's a short while before Lex absorbs what's said to him and then he
nods and moves to make room for Clark.
Clark's face looks so amazed it elicits a sleepy chuckle from Lex.
"Come on Clark, I'm sure you need to get up early to feed the cows or
something. Hurry up and get in."
The smile he gets is bright enough to wake him up. Clark gets in the
bed and snuggles against Lex.
"Thanks Lex."
"Don't thank me yet. Thank me after you explain this to your parents."
Now Clark really won't get to sleep.
